Michael Fayman was diagnosed with Actue Myelogenous Leukemia. The Michael Fayman Benefit Fund is an orginazation that raises money for the care of Michael Fayman. He is being treated with chemotherapy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Mike Currently is at St. Elizabeth undergoing the 4th round and is in hopes of find a stemcell donor match.
Mike has a rare form of Leukemia, called Meylogenous Leukemia, which is complicated by having a missing or d***aged chromosome. He has been told that with treatment, he will have approximately 2 years to be with his family and a 5% chance of 5 years. Without treatment, he has only 6 months.
Mike is currently 56 years old and is married to Jody Schroder. They have 5 children, Michelle 18, Elizabeth 16, Alex 14, Katelynn 10 and Hannah is 8. Mike and Jody are self employed and home-school their children. Michelle and Elizabeth are graduates, and Alex, Katelynn and Hannah are still home-schooled.
The Fayman family attends Lincoln Bible Church and have ongoing support with their friends and family.
